Scope (Target audience) : This course has been designed to meet the requirements of STCW section II/4.Course is open to mariners who wish to obtain an appropriate certificate in order to perform watchkeeping duites.watch.

Objective : Rating formatting part of a navigational watch course has been designed to provide the learner with the knowledge and skills in seamanship required to perform duties as a navigational watchkeeping.

Course content : 

• Steering
• Observing
• Participating in oversight and safe watch-keeping
• Working with emergency equipment and application of emergency procedures
• Maneuvering including collision avoidance

Duration: 18 hours

Prerequisite : 

• At least 16 years of age
• Identification card or passport
• 2 passport size colored photographs
• 6 months of certified sea service on deck 
• Minimum elementary school report card
• Basic Safety Training certificate
• Medical exam issued by Occupational health practice in Republic of Croatia
