Scope (Target audience) : This model course aims to provide the training for candidates to launch and take charge of a refresher advanced training in fire-fighting, in accordance with requirements of Regulation VI/3, Section A-VI/3 paragraph 5 and Table A-VI/3 of the STCW Code as amended and IMO Model Course 2.03.

Objective : This full day course involves group work. The content is focused on controlling firefighting operations on board ship, organizing and training fire parties, fixed systems and fire investigation.

Course content : 

• Control fire-fighting operations aboard ship
• Organize and train fire parties
• Inspect and service fire detection and extinguishing systems and equipment
• Investigate and compile reports on incidents involving fire

Duration: 8 hours

Prerequisite : 

• Advanced Fire Fighting Certificate
• Identification card or passport
• 2 passport size colored photographs
